Edwards and served from April 20, 1813, until his resignation on June 7, 1814; served as register of the land offices at Canton and Wooster, Ohio, from 1814 to 1824; presided over the Whig mass convention held at Columbus, Ohio, February 22, 1840; presidential elector on the Whig ticket in 1840; died in Wooster, Wayne County, Ohio, February 20, 1843; interment in Wooster Cemetery.
