Born and raised in Ridley Park, Nick currently serves as Chief of Staff to Representative Ron Raymond and has managed district operations with a spirit of hard work and dedication. Nick is also a United States Army veteran and currently serves as a member of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard’s First City Troop in Philadelphia. In the aftermath of September 11, Nick was deployed to Kosovo, where he was awarded the Army Achievement Medal. In October 2005, Nick volunteered to replace fallen comrades in his squadron and was sent to Ramadi, known as the capitol of the Sunni insurgency and the most dangerous city in the country. Nick was awarded the Army Commendation Medal for his exemplary actions in combat during one particular fight. He was also awarded the Combat Infantrymen’s Badge.
Following Hurricane Katrina, Miccarelli spearheaded Ridley Park’s “Adopt-a-Town” effort for Waveland, MS collecting money and supplies for the town, which was decimated by the hurricane Katrina. Miccarelli personally drove to Mississippi on two occasions to deliver supplies and a donated police car.
Nick is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania.
