-Has served as Principal of Inter-Island Academy at Summerford, New World Island.

-Provincial involvement in hockey and softball. Provincial Senior Hockey Awards and pitched in the Canadian Junior Men's Softball Championships.

-Operated "Derrick Dalley Power Hockey School". Involved in province-wide Hockey Schools.

-Most of free time spent coaching or working with students; actively involved in school life.

-Experience in recruitment and retention of Family Physicians, particularly to rural Newfoundland and Labrador.

-Political experience includes working for Tom Rideout and Paul Shelley.

-Strengths include people skills; empathetic to people's concerns and passionate about rural Newfoundland and Labrador. Local candidate with strong ties to the district and a social understanding of the rural way of life.
