InfoA lifelong Atlantic County resident, Joseph Wilkins is a dedicated public servant and champion for middle class working families.

A retired United State Marine Corps Reservist and former Assistant Commissioner of Labor, Joe is the epitome of hard work and perseverance. Joe started his career at an entry level position as an Apprentice with the Plumbers & Steamfitters Local Union 121 in 1956 and steadily worked his way up to oversee the day to day operations of Local Union 322 and over 1,700 members as its Business Manager in 1997. Joe also served as the Secretary Treasurer for the 20,000 member strong South Jersey Building Trades Council for over ten years.

Joe has dedicated his life to public and community service. He has been a delegate to the Atlantic County Jr. Football League, coach in the North Pleasantville Little League, President of the Atlantic County chapter of the New Jersey State Football officials, and Chairman of the Affirmative Action Casino Construction Council. He was elected to Holy Spirit High School's Hall of Fame in 2006.

Joe has also served as the chairman of the Atlantic County Improvement Authority, as a board member of the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority and as the President of the Atlantic County League of Municipalities.

Mr. Wilkins is a current member of the St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church and resides in Galloway Township with his wife Kathleen. He has seven grown children sixteen grandchildren.
