InfoBob Yorczyk, 56, has been married to Bea (Beatrice) Anne for 33 years. They have two daughters, Robin who is an elementary school teacher and Gretchen who is a validation scientist for a pharmaceutical firm. Bob was born in Massachusetts and raised in Virginia where he earned a degree in Statistics from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and a Professional Engineering certificate in Quality Management. While attending school, he served in the Naval Air Reserve. Upon graduation he worked in R&D, Process Development and management for major corporations (DuPont, FMC and CertainTeed) and now has his own publishing business. His experience in R&D created an open mind that challenges conventional approaches to problems, while Process Development provided a cautious approach when implementing programs with significant attention to details.
He has always been interested in service and served as Chairman of Uwchlan Townships Planning Commission and Chairman of the Municipal Authority. While serving on the Planning Commission, he initiated and got approved a reduction in the impervious coverage which resulted in guaranteeing 75 to 90 acres more green space in the township. He is an active member in St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Lionville where he has served on several committees, council and is in the choir. He currently serves on the Southeastern Pennsylvania Synod Council for the Lutheran Church..

His strong belief in placing the people and the country ahead of any party interest motivated him to be a founding organizer of the Patriot (Reform) Party in Pennsylvania in 1993 after the 1992 election where he was the Southeastern Pennsylvania Coordinator for the Perot campaign. He served on the State Committee, chaired the State Platform Committee, chaired the county party, was a delegate to the National conventions and served on the National Platform Committee. In 1996 he personally collected over 2100 petition signatures and filed nearly 3500 signatures to run for Congress in 1996 on the Reform Party ticket. During the campaign, he impressed many observers and both major parties with his focus on issues and his understanding of the problems facing America today.

He joined the Democratic Party in 1998 because so many of his ideas fit with the historical Democratic values. After coming up 47 petition signatures short for getting on the primary ballot, he successfully ran a write-in campaign in May to get on the Democratic ticket for Pennsylvanias 16th Congressional District and a rematch with Rep. Joe Pitts.

In 2000, he gathered nearly twice as many petition signatures as needed and was unopposed in the primary to become the Democratic candidate for United States Representative. He has been endorsed by the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO and has the support of a conservationists.
