InfoDr. Mark Klein is a 65 year old father of four, grandfather of two. In addition to being a physician and a psychiatrist, Dr. Klein is a very successful investor. He is seeking public office for the first time.

Dr. Klein was born into a second generation, working class, Eastern European immigrant family in New York; his dad a butcher and his mom a homemaker. In his own words, "I grew up when the government was sympathetic toward hardworking, honest folks like my parents. I remember when a hard working family could afford a comfortable lifestyle in a modest home on Long Island."

Dr. Klein continues, "For hard working students like myself there was equal opportunity. I won the New York State Regents College Scholarship. The $1000 annual award paid almost all of my pre-med tuition at Long Island’s Hofstra College."

Competing against over 3300 applicants, Dr. Klein was awarded admission to medical school at the State University of New York’s Brooklyn campus. After interning at the Jewish Hospital of Brooklyn, Dr. Klein became a resident in Psychiatry at the Nassau County Medical Center and became Board Certified in Psychiatry. During his career, Dr. Klein

held faculty positions at Cornell Medical College and the University of California at Davis and the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and Long Island University;
practiced medicine and psychiatry in New York and California.
Dr. Klein believes that it is time for a new vision accompanied by strong decisive leadership in the White House. Dr. Klein wisely reminds us, "When my generation is gone, there will be no one with a living memory of an America where most families enjoyed a comfortable middle class lifestyle, where divorce was rare, and common sense still had social value".
