Info | ALBERTUS JENKINS of Montclair was elected to his first three-year term as an at-large member of the Board of Chosen Freeholders in November 2002. He is currently the Deputy Mayor and a Councilor-at-Large member of the Montclair Municipal Council. He served on the Montclair Board of School Estimate, is a former president of the Montclair Branch of the NAACP, and a former treasurer of the New Jersey State Conference of NAACP Branches. He also served on Montclair’s Joint Capital Improvements Committee, as a district leader for the Montclair Democratic Committee, chairman of the Montclair Redevelopment Agency, and as a member of the Affirmative Action/Human Relations Committee for the Montclair Board of Education. Freeholder Jenkins is an independent management consultant and a former business manager with IBM, Lucent Technologies, and AT&T. He was also a visiting professor with the Black Executive Exchange Program (BEEP) of the National Urban League. Freeholder Jenkins is a graduate of Rutgers University and earned his M.B.A. from the Rutgers University Graduate School of Business Administration.
