As a dairy farmer and small business operator, Alan McIsaac knows the value in hard work and is not afraid to take on the responsibilities that come with leadership. Alan McIsaac’s leadership in the dairy industry has spanned over 32 years. Whether he was chairing the Provincial Milk Marketing Board or presiding over Farmers Helping Farmers, Alan’s insight into the agriculture industry has given him deep connections to key people and organizations that drive our main industries on PEI.
“Prince Edward Island is facing a number of challenges in our primary industries. The Island needs new vision and new energy to deal with these challenges. I am ready for the task at hand.”
Alan McIsaac believes in community and understands the value in helping to ensure our Island communities stay strong. Alan’s community work includes: The Home & School Associations of Glen Stewart and Charlottetown Rural; the Cross Road Community Fire Department; various church committees; Pownal Rink Association; Habitat for Humanity, and coaching baseball and hockey.
Alan and his wife Joanne (Kamphuis) have four sons, Andrew, Joshua, Stephen and Michael.
