Edge, and served from November 30, 1929, to December 2, 1930, when a duly elected successor qualified; not a candidate for election to the vacancy in 1930; unsuccessful candidate for Governor of New Jersey in 1931; resumed former business pursuits; appointed by the Governor to the Delaware River Joint Commission to fill an unexpired term in 1938; engaged in insurance brokerage business; died in Camden, N.J., February 28, 1955; interment in Harleigh Cemetery.
