Info | Jason Dearborn is a fifth generation farmer on his family’s original homestead southwest of Laporte. Jason was born in nearby Leader and attended elementary school in Eatonia. Jason attended St. Michael’s University School in Victoria, British Columbia on scholarship, graduating in 1990.
In 1990, Jason received the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award for Citizenship, presented by the Duchess of Kent in Toronto. Jason convocated with a Bachelor of Arts from Trinity College, University of Toronto in 1994, and with a Master of Divinity in 1996.
Jason married April Kaiser of Saskatoon in the fall of 1998. Together they operate the family’s cereal, pulse, and oilseed farm. They have two young sons: Blake and Spencer. The family actively participates in St. Mary’s Anglican Church in Kindersley.
Jason was elected MLA of the Kindersley constituency in a by-election on October 4, 2002 and re-elected on Nov 5, 2003 in the general election. Jason has served as a member of the Standing Committee on Human Services, Crown & Central Agencies Committee, and Privileges Committee; Critic for Culture, Youth and Recreation, and SPMC; and Deputy Critic for Investment Saskatchewan.
