Info | As a child growing up in Dresden, I learned the importance of faith, family and fellowship.
My father, Rick Finney, has owned and operated a sixty-year old family business, Finney’s Floor & Home Center my whole life. My mother, Amy has taught at Dresden Elementary School for almost 30 years. From my family, I learned about the importance of hard work, a good education and that small businesses are the backbone of West Tennessee communities.
I attended the University of Tennessee-Martin, where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. I continued my education, receiving a law degree from Saint Louis University.
I am an attorney. My clients are mostly working people who are concerned about living paycheck to paycheck and concerned about losing their health care. I have worked to make sure my clients are treated fairly and that they are represented by someone who empathizes with the problems that working families face every day.
Like my mother, I also teach. For the past five years, I have worked as an instructor at Lambuth University, and I previously taught at Lane College in Jackson. I have taught courses on civil rights and business law and ethics.
I was raised in the Baptist church and am currently a member of Jackson’s First Baptist Church, where I sing in the choir.
