Fuller of the Supreme Court of the United States 1905-1907; studied law at the University of Michigan; was admitted to the bar in 1907 and commenced practice in Cleveland, Ohio; moved to Evanston, Ill., in 1908 and continued the practice of law in Chicago, Ill.; special counsel to the Comptroller of the Currency 1926-1928; author; elected as a Republican to the Seventy-seventh and Seventy-eighth Congresses (January 3, 1941-January 3, 1945); unsuccessful candidate for reelection in 1944 to the Seventy-ninth Congress; resumed the practice of law in Evanston, Ill., where he died January 5, 1950; interment in Memorial Park, Skokie, Ill.
